ABOUT

Diane is an artist born in New Jersey and has lived in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, for over 40 years. Her passion for creating art was sparked at an early age by her father’s talents in fabric design, painting, and photography.
Although primarily self-taught, Diane has taken art lessons throughout her journey, continually learning and growing as an artist. Fluid art has been a long-standing passion—she is captivated by the interaction of color with fluid acrylics and has developed a unique style through ongoing experimentation. Her work often blends abstract forms with the natural world, reflecting her love of nature and floral beauty.
For Diane, creating a painting is pure joy. She delights in the creative process, finding inspiration in movement, color, and the flow of the natural world.
In recent years, Diane has begun pairing her paintings with poetry—sometimes writing her own verses and has collaborated with her mother, a gifted writer. This poetic dimension adds an emotional and narrative layer to her visual work, offering viewers a deeper, more personal connection to each piece. One especially meaningful moment came in 2025, when a painting paired with a poem written by her mother was featured in an exhibit and sold—an experience that affirmed the power of blending visual art with the written word.
